Repair

ServicesWhy replace it when we can make it as good as new?

A cracked table, a delaminated overhead bin or a worn seat can mean weeks waiting for an OEM part, a purchase order, logistics and a component sent to landfill. We fix it instead: faster, at a lower cost, with full certification, and often without the part ever leaving the aircraft.

Seats Repair and Overhaul

Back in service, like the day they were delivered.

Our two workshops near all London airports overhaul passenger and crew seats of every class, on every type of aircraft. It starts before the seats come off the aircraft. We carry out an on-aircraft survey to define the scope of work, the spare parts and the labour required, so there are no surprises on cost or downtime. In the workshop, seats are stripped, cleaned and inspected, and you receive a detailed breakdown of what they need: new cushion foams, cover replacement, leather trimming, plastic trim repair or replacement, IFE integration.

They come back fully overhauled, with the complete documentation pack:

  • Dual Release Form 1 certification
  • Compliance to the latest CMM revisions, SBs and ADs
  • Combination burn test certificates
  • Any customer-specific documentation

Both systems comply with REACH and MSDS requirements and are backed by EASA-approved technical documentation.

SATTO® Rapid Repair System for Plastics (SA20-21) is the now well-established system for repairing damaged cabin plastics, including toilets, overhead bins, tables and galleys. It fully complies with REACH, MSDS requirements and sets the industry standard for engineering support with two EASA Approved Technical documents.

Broken or damaged plastic components are repaired with SATTO® SA20-21 wherever possible. Whether a crack or gap, missing edges or even a sheared part it can be SATTO® bonded, prepared, repaired and sent to our paint shop.

Interior panel lamination

Interior Panel Lamination

We refurbish sidewalls, ceiling panels, overhead bin doors and monuments, all the way up to First and Business suites.

The difference is in the method. We remove the old laminate instead of laminating over it. This avoids adding weight to every panel, and on a full shipset that weight adds up in fuel. It also lets us inspect the composite structure underneath and repair any hidden damage.

  • Full shipsets or single panels
  • Fast turnaround
  • Fully trained, certificated cabin technicians

Repair over Replacement

Our solutions embraces a sustainability-first approach by prioritizing repair over replacement for aircraft cabin components. By extending the life of existing materials, we reduce the demand for new raw materials, thereby lowering waste generation and minimizing the environmental impact of manufacturing new parts.

Our innovative repair processes contribute to the circular economy, allowing damaged or worn components to be refurbished and reused instead of ending up in landfills. This practice not only reduces waste but also promotes resource efficiency by giving a second life to plastic and composite materials.

Whenever possible, we opt for eco-friendly resins and materials in our repairs. This commitment to using sustainable materials ensures that our repairs align with global efforts to reduce the use of harmful substances in the aviation industry.

Through localized repair services and a strategic supply chain, SATTO® Solutions helps reduce the carbon footprint associated with the transportation of replacement parts. By offering quick turnaround times on repairs, we help airlines avoid the need for airfreighting new components, which significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

We operate in full compliance with environmental regulations such as REACH, MSDS and other global standards aimed at reducing hazardous materials in aviation. This ensures that our processes and materials are both safe and environmentally responsible.

Our solutions contributes to prolonging the lifecycle of aircraft interiors, enabling airlines to keep their cabins in optimal condition for longer without frequent replacements. This approach supports sustainability goals by reducing the need for constant new production.

On-Wing Cabin Support

Not every repair can wait for a C-check. Our transit teams work worldwide within your normal downtime (transit, daily, overnight and A-checks) to keep seats and cabin in shape without taking the aircraft out of service.

Every team includes SATTO®-trained technicians, so plastic and composite damage can be repaired directly on board. No part removal, no waiting for a spare, no aircraft on ground.
